Writing a CV in LaTeX
I've been in the process of updating my CV (resume), which is written in LaTeX. The results are visually pleasing, but it's required much hacking to get it the way I want it. I use the CurVe class package, which has some very nice features but a few limitations and drawbacks.
So given the efforts required to make it work, why am I still using it?
So given the efforts required to make it work, why am I still using it?
- It looks great, in my opinion. Far better than my old Word CV.
- I hate word / office.
- It provides a nice system for managing different versions of my CV.
- Once I have the style I want, I can mostly concentrate on just writing the content and LaTeX will make it look great. At least that's the theory!
- Getting it to work has required much tinkering, this appeals to my programmer nature and makes the process of writing my CV more fun!
